This incredibly sophisticated quilt is in fabulous condition, with early turkey red calico and overdyed green Irish Chain blocks, and bordered with a rose and teal glazed chintz. The quilting is intricate and precise; diagonal lines spaced 3/8 of an inch apart in the border and 5/8 of an inch crosshatching in chain blocks. Four swirling feathers pinwheel against a background of narrow diagonal line quilting in the white joining blocks. A 1/8 of an inch binding has been turned over from the white backing.
