This early 19th century quilt in the Tree of Life pattern is exceptionally clean, bright, and graphic. Gorgeous Turkey red and indigo blue fabrics are offset by a solid white ground. Double borders on three sides are in solid Turkey red and white as are the small 1 3/8 inch triangles. Each tree trunk is comprised of the same deep indigo print containing small white donut-like circles.

The backing is the same white fabric as used on the front. A 1/4 inch applied binding in an indigo with white dots print provides the perfect frame for this high energy quilt.

Exquisite and dense hand quilting using tiny stitches has been carried out over the entire quilt. The detail photo is shaded slightly to show the quilting. Patterns includes feathers, straight lines and diagonal triple line quilting in the borders. Combined with the color palette and wonderful graphics, the quilting sets this Tree of Life a step above quilts of a similar age and design.

A patriotic beauty in unused condition, it has been professionally hand washed by Betsey and can be sent to you on approval.
