Not in perfect condition. Yes, this needs some loving work before quilting this wonderfully graphic
quilt top.
This Philadelphia Pavement quilt top, measuring 80" X 82", is comprised
of hundreds of 2" squares, made up of dozens of stripes, plaids and
calicos from the 1870s to 1900. There are some calicos here that I have
never seen. The price of this top is reflecting the fact that there are
damaged pieces in the body and along the edges. I would take off the
outer row all the way around, use the fabrics to replace the torn pieces
in the body of the quilt, and save the remaining pieces for use on
another quilt. Completely pieced by hand, the quilt top was taken apart
from a tied comforter.
