The warm and cheerful colors of this graphic quilt make it perfect for wall art or use on a twin bed. The blocks are approximately 4 ½ inches square, with LeMoyne stars alternating with solid Turkey red blocks. Entirely hand pieced and hand quilted using a combination of white and brown cotton threads. Most likely, the brown thread was originally a tobacco dyed green. An overall 1 inch crosshatch quilting pattern was used, with a concentric circle motif used in the stars. The ¼ inch separately applied binding uses a circa 1860 fabric and the backing is off white cotton. Professionally hand washed by Betsey, please ask her for more details.
