BTG75 Jacob's Ladder / Nine Patch Joining Blocks Quilt

c.1925sbr> 68 x 84 inches
New England

Spring and summer are my favorite seasons of the year. Being a boater and loving the water, this naturally makes a lot of sense. When I look at this wonderful medium blue Jacobs ladder quilt the calico seems to show movement, almost like a ripple on the water. Well...that is how I see this delightful, never used, summer weight quilt. A perfect weight to use as a light covering, or could be used over a heavier blanket or "puff".
The entire front of the quilt is composed of only two fabrics...white and this delightful blue calico. The unusual binding..only seen from the a different calico in the same shade of blue. This quilt was pieced by machine and then quilted by hand. The quilting pattern is a cross stitch design, on the diagonal 2" apart. A Nine Patch pattern fills the joining blocks between the Jacobs ladder pattern...first time I have ever seen this combination....very pleasing to my eyes.
This quilt, that emulates happy feelings, has been organically washed and is now ready to be sent for your approval, free of charge.
