CONDL1 Pineapple Log Cabin Quilt

Graphically dynamic and visually striking is this Pineapple Log cabin
summer weight quilt. The fabric used is a Turkey Red fabric that was
never used. I know this because Turkey Red fabric only fades with
use....and this fabric is the origonal color. A summer weight quilt
means that the quilt does not have a batting inside. The plus to this is
that you can use it year round...by itself in the warm weather...over a
blanket or comforter in the cold weather.
Created by hand with pieces ranging from 2-1/2" by 1-1/2. the center
diamond in a square measures 2-1/4" square on point. The largest piece
measure 4-1/2" x 1". The seperately applied binding measure 1/4" in
width and is closed by hand. There is a 2-1/2" white border all around,
then closed with the Turkey red binding. The formation of this design is
the same as the Steeplechase Irish Chain...meaning the pattern goes from
top to bottom and side to side, not on the diagonal as most of those
patterns were constructed.
