I love this quilt!! I know I love quilts, but there is something about this amazing quilt that I am doing something I usually never do. This quilt is not in perfect condition, whereas my antique quilts normally are perfect. The work to make it perfect does not bother me, however obviously it is up to you whether to do it or not. There is wear on the corded binding and there are a few spots...otherwise just amazing work!

The quilting is superb, with the swag border being stippled. Stippling means so much quilting that it looks corded. The body of the quilt is done in 1/2" crosshatching with tiny, precise stitches! The graphics are amazing! There is applique, reverse applique, cording and embroidery. The fabrics are Turkey Red and overdyed green on a fine white cotton. White Linen is the backing, typical of the date and the affluence of the creator. The separately applied and corded binding measures 3/8". The entire potted plant measures 18" X 15", the swag border is hard for me to measure.
