CONHO44A Amish Bars with Four Corner Blocks

A mint condition Amish Bars with Corner Blocks is beyond stunning! We always have trouble getting these colors right..I am not sure why, but the wool challis fabric photographs well with other quilts. The distance picture is truer, but the closeup colors are way off!

The purple border around the Bars measures 3-1/2" in width, the Brick Red Bars are 6" in width, the Turquoise Bars are 6" in width. The Dark Forest Green wide border measures 11" in width, while the wide (typical Amish) binding measures 1-1/2" wide. The 4 inner corner blocks measure 3-1/2" x 3-1/2", while the outer corner blocks measure 11" X 11".

The backing is a minuscule black and white striped cotton. Amish were allowed to use fabrics that are not plain for the backing, as that was usually not seen and therefore not pretentious. The quilting is the Amish spectacular quilting...always perfect and creative. The Bars are crosshatched 1" apart on the diagonal. The first purple border. The rest of the quilt has creative exquisite designs...the outer green border is quilted with Large baskets and seems to have a bunny in the basket? The four corner blocks have the same design on the diagonal.

This quilt already has the "sleeves" sewn on top and bottom ...ready to hang ..Using on a bed is not affected by the sleeves.

An amazing textile now up for viewing. Always sent with free shipping for your approval.
