In 40 years I have never had a complete family album along with an incredible textile! The album not only had provenance, but original photos and so much more! The work is beyond one's imagination..taking known symbols and embellishing them to the utmost.

We have fans, flowers, embroidered delicate leaves, ribbon work, moon, rings, gold embroidery and too much to list! Each 10-1/2" square block is heavily embellished. The mark of excellence for a Victorian Crazy Quilt is 100 different stitches..this surpasses the mark! There is a 5-1/2" Silk velvet border of a shimmering dark sea blue. Even the dark rust colored silk backing is embellished! Some Crazy Quilts are just too unbelievable to describe...this is such a piece.
