Only a master weaver could have ever created such a magnificent
summer/winter coverlet. This complicated design contains exotic birds,
various floral medallions, a cornucopia of floral wreaths, foliage and
is surrounded by side borders that measure 8" on the sides and 12" top and
bottom.
Again a very complicated weaving design..There are 7 different woven
patterns making up the border... again so very complicated. ...must be
seen to really appreciate.
The fibers used are a true dyed indigo wool and a natural color
linen...Originally woven for a double bed, however by turning the
coverlet it will fit larger beds of today. 🙂
