A gorgeous and very early quilt top in the Flying Geese pattern. A wide array of circa1845 and earlier fabrics in a gorgeous palette make this a wonderful find for those who love very early fabrics coupled with wonderful graphic design. The 'geese' measure 4 x 4 x 5 5/8. Wide 6 1/4" vertical sashing between the columns of geese is a gorgeous ladderback stripe pattern. Completely hand pieced using linen thread. Very crisp and clean with only a few tanning spots this quilt top out of a collector's home is in excellent unused condition.
