This charming little bo peep kit quilt was made somewhere between 1940 and 1945. All the applieque and quilting are done by hand. The little soldiers are carrying American flags, which would have been very patrioitic for that era, therefore I am placing it around 1944-1945. The binding is all done by hand. The chevron, floral and cross hatch quilting are all done by hand using pink quilting thread. the back kof the quilt is pink, the fabric being a nice cozy flannel. Created in Maine, this adorable quilt appears to have been hardly used. On this littl bo peep quilt we also have an embroidered humpty dumpty, little tin soldiers, and another nursery rhyme applique. This sweet quilt would be an adorable piece of art for a baby's room. Created in Maine, this quilt is in complete original condition. Professionally hand washed by Betsey.
