F207 Courthouse Steps fragment
c.1855
34 x 42 inches
New England
$650

This early Log Cabin fragment was completely hand pieced, using a foundation piecing method indicative of New England. The original quilt had never been used....due to a very, very large hole I needed to make the quilt into smaller finished fragments. These courthouse steps fabrics are all cotton fabrics and have now been hand bound in a matching ecru cotton of the same era. There are dozens of different prints on this quilt..a fabric junky's delight. A huge array of browns, rusts, madder dyes and other wonderful fabrics dating back to c.1845. It’s a wonderful piece of art for your wall or a center piece for your table.. Organically hand washed and ready to send out for your approval.
