A wonderful Depression era textile exhibiting multiple patterns resulting in a unique and beautiful quilt. The many faceted Carpenter's Wheel holds center court with its wide variety of c.1920's calicos. Each block measures13 ¾ inches square and contains diamonds with 2 inch sides. Surrounding the 12 beautiful Carpenter's Wheels is a 7 ½ inch wide triple sashing and border in soft mustard yellow and white. Nine Patch blocks in the same hues are at the intersections of the sashing and each of the triple border's corners. Lovely.

Hand pieced blocks with treadle machined stitched sashing and borders, this quilt is also very nicely hand quilted in outline, echo outline and diagonal cross hatch stitching. The backing is white as is the applied 3/8 inch binding.

This quilt was used but lovingly cared for and is in excellent soft condition. There are faint pencil lines still visible from the quilting pattern. Professionally hand washed by Betsey it can be shipped to you on approval for private viewing.
