This graphically sophisticated broken touching stars quilt was created in the 1880’s with older indigo fabric. I’m saying 1880’s because of the white fabric. The indigo blue may even be 1860’s. Pieced and quilted completely by hand, the stars measure apx 22 x 22” with each side of the diamond measuring 2-1/4”. The stars are joined with 13” square blocks. The outside edge of the stars are joined with rectangular blocks measuring apx 6-1/2 x 13”. The quilt is bordered with a 7” white strip and finished with a 3/8” indigo binding. In unused condition and perfect for a queen size bed. Organically hand washed and ready to go.
