Even after 38 years in business I am still finding treasures! The Double Wedding Ring pattern was the most popular design during the late 20's and 30's. Over all these years in business I have found and sold dozens with this pattern. However, I have never had one at this level. This amazing quilter created a quilt in the 19th Century manner. By this I mean 1. the quilt has a double border squaring off the quilt, and 2. The quilting is amazing..every inch is quilted with various designs. We have medallions, rope designs, crosshatching and straight line quilting.

Both hand pieced and machine pieced with a treadle sewing machine, this quilt is in pristine condition. The 4 square block has squares with 2-1/4" blocks, the pieces making up the circles measure 2" x 3/4" x 1", the border strips measure in width: 2", 1-3/4" and are finished with a separately applied binding 3/8" in width.

There is a smorgasbord of fabrics of the 1920's into the early 30's. The green and goldish yellow are in style today. The pristine condition of this quilt seems to point to it's being so special as not to be used, but saved. Well, personally I believe that the creator of this piece of art meant for it to be lovingly used! Now almost 100 years later someone may love and enjoy this very meaningful quilt.

Now washed with an organic product and ready to be sent for your approval.
