I am crazy about this quilt! Whimsical is so happy..so much fun..so graphic and so creative! Created from 99 blocks with 7-3/4" sides. All seams are embroidered with triple strand cotton embroidery floss. Then there are these wonderful whimsical Whirlygigs embroidered with three strand twisted embroidery threads. Then these designs are embellished with small embroidered "Suns". All seam embroidery threads are a deep red, while the Whirlygigs are embroidered in pale peach with alternating blocks in a rich deep Marine Blue.

All stitching is small and precise. The fabrics are all from unused woolen suiting fabrics. The backing is a wonderful muted brown and green stripe and plaid flannel. The edges are pillow cased meaning the edges are turned in and then stitched close.
