In most places this pattern is called the Star of Bethlehem. In Texas it’s called The Lone Star :-). This very graphic star is composed of hundreds of diamonds having 2-1/4” sides. The diamonds are hand pieced and then connected to the muslin cut outs, again by hand. On each space between the points, there are three hand appliquéd hand pieced stars on the muslin backing. Graphically stunning, this quilt top will fit a double or queen bed or as a throw on a king size bed. The colors used in the creation of this quilt are today’s colors and here we are almost a century later. Beautifully executed and waiting for the right quilter :-)
