Stunning, sophisticated and graphically wonderful! Can you tell that I
am crazy about this quilt top? The rich color scheme is
visually captivating.
The pieced Ohio Star blocks, on point, measure 7" X 7". The joining
blocks are the same. The diamonds each have two inch sides. There are
many fabrics that are earlier in date. Perfectly pieced by hand from
costly fabrics. This top must have been created by a woman whose family
was of comfortable means. Quilts are not just works of art, but also a
study in sociology.
There are dozens of different prints. This quilt top, for a reason I
cannot articulate, visually seams very comforting.
